෴ ජාතික වීරවරයෙක් වූ වාරියපොල ශ්‍ර්‍රී සුමංගල හිමියන් 1838 වර්ශයේ නොවැම්බර් මස 10 වන දින අවුරුදු 21 ක් පුරාවට යාපනය ඩෙල්ප් දූපතේ අත් පා බැද සිරගත කර සිටියදී අවසන් සුසුම් පොද වා තලයට මුසුකලා ෴

2021-11-10 වන අද දින දළදාවාසික කීරවැල්ල රාජකීය පරපුරේ කීරවැල්ලේ වාරියපොල සුමංගල අස්ගිරි පාර්ෂවයේ අනුනායක හිමියන් යාපනේ ඩෙල්ප් දූපතේ හා යාපනේ මහහිරගෙදර පුරාවසර 21 ක් දරුණු වදහිංසා විද අපවත් වූ දිනයයි෴

වරද දළදාවහන්සේ එංගලන්තය වෙත රැගෙනයාමට සුද්දන් කටයුතු කරද්දී එය රහසේ රැගෙන දඹුලු කැලයට හා සත්කෝරලයට පලායාම. 1817 වසරේදී උන්වහන්සේ අත්අඩංගුවට ගෙන මහනුවර මගුල්මඩුවෙිදී ජෝන්ඩොයිලි ගේ මූලිකත්වයෙන් මහනඩුව අසා කපුවත්තේ, මොල්ලිගොඩ, එක්නැලිගොඩ, යන අයගේ යෝජනාවෙන් සිරගතකර ඇත ෴

එබැවින් රටත් ජාතියත්, සම්බුද්ධ සාසනයත් වෙනුවෙන් ජීවිත දානය දුන් එම යතිවරයානන් වහන්සේ උදෙසා අද සවස පොල්තෙල් පහනක් දල්වා පිං පමුනවමු෴

Ven. Wariyapola Sumangala Anunayake Thero of the Asgiri Chapter of the Keerawella Royal Dynasty of the Tooth Relic of Keerawella passed away after 21 years of severe torture on the Delft Island in Jaffna and Mahahiragedara in Jaffna on the date of 10th November in 1838 ෴

The guilt is secretly taking and securing the Tooth Relic and fled to "Dambulla" and "Satkorala" when the whites were trying to take the Tooth Relic to England. He was arrested in 1817 at "Magulmaduwa" in Kandy and imprisoned by John Doyle at the suggestion of Kapuwatte, Molligoda, and Ekneligoda ෴

Therefore, let us light an oil lamp this evening to show our gratitude to Ven. Wariyapola Sri Sumangala Thero who dedicated his life for the country, the nation, and the Buddha Sasana ෴
